Question

Volta bracket are used for first and second endings, which Notion places properly.  However, sometimes third, fourth, etc., endings are required (e. g. to cut down on page turns.)  It would also be important to have second endings that are closed rather than open as an option, and possibly un-numbered volta brackets so that users can supply their own numbers and the program would then act accordingly.
