How do I use third-party instrument libraries like NI Komplete Ultimate and their articulations, etc., in Notion 6?

Do I need to buy desktop expansion packs for Notion strings, etc., or can I use my third-party libraries like Komplete Ultimate?  If I can, will the articulations, etc. work?
