i am working on a client's system that is Ver. 2.6 software and an installed 24.4.2 Studio live board. When I firewire connect the mixer to the computer it doesn't show up in devices when I open Studio One

The classic mixer would show up as Firestudio in the selection menu. I'd suggest opening a support ticket so they can help you out.
