Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to record the output from my fantom x6 into Presonus Studio One. Care to help out? Thanks.

You will need to connect MIDI Send/Receive from your Roland to the MIDI interface that is connected to your computer. Also, you will need to connect audio for monitoring.

Please read these articles for setting up External MIDI Devices with Studio One 3:
http://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001352966-Studio-One-3-How-do-I-setup-a-hardware-keyboard-synthesizer-in-Studio-One-3-

  1. For the Piano Keys. You will need to create a New Keyboard, with the MIDI Receive From assigned to the MIDI in, but don't need the MIDI "Send To." And set this to  Default Instrument Input.
  2. To use the Sounds from the Fantom, and to be able to sync the Fantom to Studio One, you will need to create a New Instrument with the MIDI "Send To" set to your keyboard MIDI port. Make sure the Fantom is set to external MIDI clock.
