Hi everyone please help!

I installed EzDrummer and Ezmix and just let it install itself into the C: drive. My problem is I was having issues with Studio one recognizing where they were, until I added “ c: “ in the locate VST window in studio one and after 45 minutes of it scanning the c: drive it was able to find them and I was happy cause I was finally able to use them in my session. Problem though when I went back to recording the next day now I get a window that states “ Missing Devices” on my Ez Mix and both my plugins are not there anymore again. Agghhhhhh! Frustrating.

I’m wondering did I install them in the appropriate place ? What am I doing wrong? I just upgraded from studio one 4 to Studio One 5 and am using My laptop Windows 10

Thank you for any assistance.

Ozzy

Hi.  Please do not add "C:/" as your plugin install location.  That will cause long load times, if not a crash.  Personally i recommend setting up file folders for your VST plugs to be installed in.  For example [c:/user/me/recording_software/plugs/vst.]  Then you need to copy this address as plain text and add this text to your plugin locations under set-up.  Now, if you are using vst3 plugs, they tend to install to [C:/Program Files/common files/vst3].  F.Y.I.  - not sure this is relevant to newer versions of Studio One but adding [c:/Program Files] as your search location can cause crashing.   Also, please make sure your plugins are the current updated versions.
