I write performance tracks of my original compositions and arrangements. I notate the drums. I may want the snare and the crash cymbal to strike at the same time, but end deparately. Or I may want to syncopate the snare against a steady ride cymbal. How do i notate this? When i try to do this in Notion the existing note changes to the duration of the added note. I have tried separating stem directions, but the same thing happens.
