At the moment Faderport in MIDI mode is not more useful than a cheap Nanokontrol (in fact the latter is even better because it allows you to choose a custom CC for each fader).
However if Presonus made the faders react to the CC values set in the DAW (motorized CC controls) it would instantly become the best and more affordable interface in the market to control MIDI CC (for orchestral scoring professionals and live musicians that need to control external synthesizer parameters from a single interface).
