As the power botton is on the back of my PreSonus Quantum 2626, I would like to know if it is a problem to let it always on... I saw that when I shut down my iMac, the light on presonus turns red (no thunderbolt communication). So, the interface turns to some "standby" mode? Or do I need to power it off?

I have to guess as I don’t have any first hand knowledge of the actual circuit, but in general it doesn’t typically negatively affect electronic gear to leave it powered up unless it has something that generates a lot of heat. In fact there is a lot of gear that is no longer actually switched completely off even though you press the power button (most TVs for example).  You just power down the displays but leave at least some circuits active. Some gear suffers additional stress each time you power up as the power supply surges but in general the difference between added stress damage and continuously on wear is pretty insignificant in either case.

I generally leave power on to all my gear
