Hello,

I am a beginner so please pardon my ignorance. I have an using Audient evo 4. I installed Studio One 5 Prime. In my project, I assign Mic 1 to track 1, Mic 2 to Track 2 and I want to assign Loop-back 1 (L) and Loop-back 2 (R) to Track 3. That way I can record voices from 2 microphones and computer audio together and create a single audio file. When I make changes in Audio I/O Setup, I am unable to save the Loop-back assignments? What am I doing wrong? Please help.

Best,

deepak

Hi Deepak,

I'm wondering if you might be going about it the hard way.

If you want a single audio file as the combination of one or more tracks (microphone 1 + microphone 2 + some other audio), you EXPORT the tracks from Studio One.  You don't have to do it "live".

What is the source of the audio you are calling "loop-back"?

Hello Steven,

With loop-back I meant whatever is currently playing on my computer. Audient evo 4 calls it loop-back.

My goal is to record my commentary on top of some content (could be YouTube audio, Skype audio, etc.) and share it back.

Could it be because I am on the Prime version which is Free? Happy to upgrade to a paid edition if I know I can do what I am trying to do.
