Our setup is a house of worship. We have a RM32AI behind the stage, and we are controlling that with an ethernet-connected CS18AI (with AVB) at the traditional FOH mix location. We want to run a broadcast mix for our live stream audio from a Mix so we can handle the levels independently of the room audio. No, we don't have the people or equipment for a proper analog splitter and a complete second mix.
I would like to be able to configure a Mix to be sent to our streaming computer from the XLR Monitor Output on the CS18AI. In the manual, I learned that these outputs only mirror what is being sent to the headphones.
We could set the headphones to listen to our stream Mix and just leave it there once the stream begins.
But I wonder is there any other way to supply audio for one of the Mix outputs in the RM32AI to a computer from the CS18AI? Or should we just run a balanced XLR cable from the stage position back to the streaming computer?
