A friend sent me a bunch of great percussion sounds that I'd like to use as virtual instruments. I've been looking all over the internet and I don't see any directions on how to use custom sounds as a virtual instrument.

You could open impact XT in studio one and drag and drop those sounds (if they are .wav audio files) onto the individual pads then store the preset with a new name
