So I have unwrapped my brand new Atom SQ.  I've registered it on my.presonus.  I've plugged it in to my laptop.  I've updated the firmware through the universal controller. All the lights are on.  But the top left light is still green (not blue).  I've gone to External Devices - Add - Presonus.  But the list has the ATOM, but not the SQ.  I've quit Studio One and restarted several times. What am i doing wrong?  I'm a bit of a newbie, but I thought this was meant to be easy.  Getting frustrated now.

If you are using Mac and Big Sur, there seems to be an issue with the latest Apple update. They say they are working on it. I have the same issue.

Same experience for me - not happy at all I must say. BigSur is out for a while and I certainly hope this will be resolved very soon. Otherwise I have a pretty but completely unusable Atom SQ and might have to return it - not what I've planned for to be honest.

Has anybody been able to figure this out yet? I am having the same problem with Big Sur.

There is a workaround coming soon for an issue introduced in macOS 11.2.

Hi all, as it seems to be a known issue with BigSur 11.2 I am using the tool Midi Monitor as "workaround". Meaning before starting StudioOne, I am checking the Midi device list with Midi Monitor. If the AtomSQ is not listed, I try replugging it or plugging it to another USB Port. So far it is quite successful - at least for me so far.

Latest update of Universal Controller also updated the FW for the AtomSQ to version 1.15. Since then the Midi issue seems to be fixed. So make sure to update everything ,-)

Hi everyone.  Thanks for the tips, hints, help and answers.  It looks like the firmware upgrade has done its job and the Atom SQ now natively links into SO5.1.  Yes it was frustrating having a useless bit of plastic on my desk that I couldn't use except to look at its shiny lights (especially the green (not blue) connection light.  But all resolved now.

Thanks again.
