Audiobox 1818 and other devices plugged to 1 usb hub?

My desk is becoming a mess of cables and I’m thinking about buying a usb hub to connect my audio interface and the Faderport v2. Would this slow down the usb buffer? Would I get other problems? With a passive hub, more power cords would be inconvenient

Forgot to mention that I have a MacBook Pro from 2018, if this is relevant
