Question

I see this question raised a couple of times without being answered. What should be a one step process is made three (split track at insert point, roll back unwanted part to leave space for new paste). It seems such a basic function that I'm missing something simple.

Agree - and perhaps I am also missing something - but it seems to me that when I click "paste" an option window should pop up asking me if I want to replace existing material, add to existing material, or slide the existing material over to make room.
