I just bought a new pc (for upgrade purposes) 16gb I7 processor 8 Core. Finally got everything installed, back up and running (studio one 5 professional). I use the studio live 24.4.2AI as my interface. Everything is running great except.....Now My pc audio has pops and crackles, not severely, but still there should be none! Not just inside S1 either, but all audio coming from the pc. I have narrowed it down that it is something somewhere with the interface relationship, because when I pull my headphones out of the board and plug them straight into the pc’s headphone jack its perfect as it should be. I have been troubleshooting for a week and I have got the noises down to almost next to nothing however its still there. The noises do not record or export onto any audio files... its only on playbacks as well as normal computer sounds (mouse dings and bells etc..) I have messed with everything from buffer speeds, sample rates, my pc’s audio settings, I even disabled the wifi adapters I wasn’t using and removed the usb wifi adapter for remote use out of the 24.4.2 , which by the way drastically improved the issue but not completely solve. The only thing, at least with the knowledge I have, that I haven’t replaced is the firewire cable, which not only fits so loose on both ends like its going to fall out but also was also bent maybe a little to much. I found this out when tearing down the old pc. A new has been ordered, just not here yet. Could a bad firewire cable be the culprit?? Or am I missing something else? Please help.. thank ✌️

It could definitely be a bad cable. If the pops and crackles don't go away with a new cable, create a support ticket.
