Recording using the Rackmount studiolve 16r going into the laptop what is the resulution can i record at? thanks

You choose this when setting up your song in S1.  The S1 range is 16 bit to 64-bit float.  if your recording levels are such that you have no clipping, a resolution setting of 24-bit should be fine.
