Question

I would like to be able to set the default crossfade length and type.  This would apply wherever auto crossfades are used, such as when comping,  In Logic Pro X, the default is a linear 20ms fade.

you can do it by creating a new macro. Just add "create crossfade". There you are able to edit the default values. In the "type"-field write "Logarithmic". I don't really understand the "bend"-field, but "1" works for me. When you have the now macro you can assign it to your "X" button in the keyboard-shortcut window.
