Hello Joe.

Yes I did. The solution was in audio setup.

If you have added eg audio channel 1 and 2 as mono and as a stereo channel in your audio setup, somehow studio one treats those two channels always as a stereo pair and therefore links the fat channel  even if you use them as two mono channels  

The solution is to remove the corresponding stereo channel from audio setup.

Then everything works as it should.

I don’t believe this to be a feature but a bug or at least an wrong implementation  of mono and stereo channels but i never bothered to open a ticket about it.

I have created an audio setup for all inputs my entire mixer so I never have to deal with audio setup again.

But unfortunately this behavior makes it necessary to remove stereo tracks from time to time. I don’t know why this behavior was implemented because I cannot think of any case where this would be desirable.
