I use the Presonus AudioBox iTwo along with the M7 mic. I tried another mic and had no problems (not Presonus) and tried switching out cables and that wasn't the issue either. It seems to be related to the Presonus M7 mic and I can't afford to buy another Presonus mic to see . It records the static/crackling/popping sound as well.
