I would like a option to just get straight into working in studio one without actually making the directory structure and saving a project name first. I hate to bring other names in but if anyone ever used used sonar it does this exactly. I assume it remembers the last sample rate used.
The older versions by unchecking "Store Project in its own Folder."
The newer versions by going to "--Blank Project--"
Two reasons.
1) For people like myself the creative process involves starting a project from nothing and no idea how it should sound or what it may turn into initially. In other words a blank canvas. I get brain farts every time like popping the question before the first date when I'm presented with this screen. At this point I have no idea what the song title should be. By no means am I saying that this isn't necessary. Im sure theres others who feel the same here.
2) Not everything is a serious project worth saving. Sometimes you may want to just record a sentence and save it as a wave file and that's it. In other occasions you may be looking to help a forum buddy out by testing something or trying to reproduce a bug. Over time all the non serious projects accumulate in numbers and look like this.
I understand that it is a very good practice to keep your projects and sessions organized from the start, but sometimes being messy is convenient 
PS if anyone is wondering I move every project I saved and worked on to another drive. The ones in the screenshot are obviously junk projects.
