Requesting offline processing (destructive plugin processing) on a selected area of audio, much like Pro Tools Audiosuite plugins, or Cubase's direct offline processing function on a selected area of audio.
Sometimes I need to process just a snippet of audio with a plugin, but putting it on an insert would process the entire track. Or else I'd have to use automation for just that one drum hit or whatnot, which is suboptimal. We need to be able to highlight a section of audio, whether it's a single drum hit or whatever, then right-click and choose a plugin to process the audio directly as an offline process. It will then replace that segment of audio with the processed audio and it's done.
