washed a video on mixing and the guy was able to turn the gain controls to -15 db. I have tried but I can't get it to go below zero.

F3 to open the console.

Enable viewing of the Inputs by clicking on the button on the left side of your screen

At the top of the channel strip you will see a dial with 0.0dB to the right.

Click and  drag it down.

Thanks for the quick response. I see the pre amp gain control and can move it, however, I can't get it to go below zero into negative numbers i.e. -10.
