Question

Folks, I am setting up IK Multimedia's ARC 3 (room correction) software in Studio One and am wondering if anyone else has already done this and can offer any suggestions. Here is the approach I am using:

I place ARC 3 in the post section of the master bus.  When I export a mixdown I ensure that the "bypass master effects" is checked so that the ARC3 correction doesn't get printed onto my mix.

If I have plugins I want in my mix that would have gone on the master bus I create a "sub" master buss that everything goes to and put the plug ins there.

This set up seems to be working but I am wondering if anyone else has a better approach, or sees any problems with how I am doing this.

Ok, so I am answering my own question here ... I discovered the "listen bus" now exists on both the Song page and the Project page. You can insert ARC3 on the listen bus and it doesn't get added to your song mixes.  No need to create an additional faux bus for that purpose.
