I have a song in another DAW.  In that DAW the song includes audio tracks and software instrument midi tracks.  All of these tracks have various effect plugins and some have automation.  Fortunately, all midi instruments and effect plugins used in that DAW are also available in Studio One.  What is the best method to move the entire song including all tracks, plugins, and automation to Studio One?

Problem solving might be more efficient if you would tell me what your other DAW is.
Generally speaking, from DAWs that support AAF format such as ProTools, Cubase, Nuendo, etc., you only need to export the audio, track name and automation part in AAF format, and save the instrument, tempo and label part in MIDI file, you can convert Most of the core content.
These are hard to convert:
1. Musical instruments. Instruments cannot be transferred between DAWs due to differences in how different DAWs call instrument plug-ins.
2. Effect plug-ins and specific configuration. The reason is the same as above. You can use the plugin's own presets to save, but this is also time-intensive for a larger project.
3. Features unique to DAWs. Such as Studio One's arrangement track, Chord track, the way these tracks are used are DAW-specific.
