It's not a bug. Your audio channel is set to -5.5 and modified with +3.2 by the VCA channel, that's -2.3 total. The automation track of the audio channel however keeps the initial value of the audio channel and not the value altered by the VCA. When you look at the automation channel of the audio track you'll see a thin grey line, representing the current value introduced by the alteration of the VCA.
As soon as you disconnect the audio channel from the VCA it will follow its own volume automation again and it will jump to -5.5.

Sorry but for me it feels like a bug. I understand what you wrote, but why should I handle different levels? show both - the relative (calculated through VCA) and the absolute of the fader. But if you show only one, it is confusing when editing automation and looking on the fader.

If you take a real analog console with VCA - the VCA controlled fader would not move. and That is the problem with the automation.

So please, Presonus, introduce a new settings item:

Track/Bus/etc -faders controlled by VCA-faders do NOT move, when the VCA-Fader moves.
