I have a studio live 32sc mixer connected to studio one 5 daw and am a little confused as to what the difference is between an effect on the insert and an effect on the send.
As I see it now (and correct me if I am wrong) the effects on an insert is an effect over the whole channel, the full effect and in order of the effects (effect 1 over the signal, effect 2 over the signal and effect 1 etc.)
The send as I understand it splits the signal so this is clear from an effect and using the send faders you can determine how much effect is used.
But are there any other differences or benefits?
