Hi

This is a complete newbie question.

I have one Studiolive Series 3  32SC console with 16 analog which will suffice for a lot of samll gigs where a fullsize desk is too cumbersome.

For bigger gigs is it possible to join 2 of those desks together to give me a 32 channel analog input desk.

If possible how would I go about it,

Many thanks and best regards

John

It is not possible to connect 2 mixers to make one big one but you can add a stage box to give you additional inputs. The faders will bank over to control the added set of 16.

Hi. At a push  you could connect the main mix output of the first desk to either the aux in, tape in or even to 2 channels of the second desk in a sort of submixer scenario.  Similar to the analogue world where you  would connect the mix bus output of one desk to the mix bus input of another. For the purposs of effects and sends, though, you'd be operating 2 separate desks and you'd basically just be mixing the outputs together.
