Question

Guys, I was able to record by external synth as midi inside studio one. The track doesnt show up in mixer. Secondly , when i mixdown the song, the track is skipped. If i bounce as an audio, there is an empty file below the track which plays nothing, while the original is also greyed and wont play. Kindly help.

Midi contains note data, not audio. You have to record the audio out from the synth as well. You can use the new Aux track for this I believe, or just add a regular track with audio input from your synth (plug the line out from the synth into a line input of your interface).
