I've release all my licenses for SO2 Producer to my account - basically uninstalled and deauthorized from my old MBP before purchasing a new MBP. I want tp upgrade to SO3 Pro for the $199 upcharge. Can I do that cleanly, or will SO2 Producer need to be installed on my new MBP first, before downloading SO3 Pro from my account?

And, can I transfer the license for SO2 Producer (which was a paid upgrade from Artist that came with my 1818VSL) to my partner who is now using the 1818VSL?

You don't need to have Studio One 2 Producer installed on your computer in order to upgrade to Studio One 3 Professional, but it does need to be registered to your My PreSonus account online in order to purchase the upgrade from shop.presonus.com.

Once you upgrade Studio One 2 Producer to Studio One 3 Professional, you won't be able to transfer your copy of Studio One 2 Producer. You can't transfer software that has been upgraded, you can only transfer the license that is the result of the upgraded license (i.e. Studio One 3 Professional, in this scenario.)
