Why can't I upgrade from Studio One 3 Professional to Studio One 4 Professional?

My friend recently transferred his Studio One 3 Professional license to me. Since I am just starting out, I was hoping to start learning on the latest software. When I attempt to check out with Studio One 4 Professional upgrade I get the following message.

Looks like you may have not registered your older version yet.
