it would be great if there was an option or overall behavior for hotkeys like in Digital Performer. It is called temporary hotkey (or something alike). A user can tap and hold a hotkey (for example 1 etc.) and a tool is active until the hotkey is let go.
This would be beneficial. So one does not need to switch tools via the tools menu, or constantly switch back and forth via the hotkeys. The modifiers work the same way in S1, but unfortunately these are somehow limited (as well they are not working in a sequence, e. g shift + option = x)
