We've been using USB to record our church services since roughly the beginning of the year. It's worked great until last week... When I upgraded the OS - we had been running Ubuntu 20.10. It's now Ubuntu 22.04. I understand Linux is not technically supported, but I'm not 100% convinced it's actually an OS issue because Linux isn't even able to get a device ID/descriptor from the device. This is usually a USB level failure, not OS.
I have tried a different cable, and also tried connecting to 2 other computers (another running Ubuntu 22.04, and one running an older version of Debian).
I have not yet tried using the older version of Ubuntu or a Windows machine, but I don't think this is going to solve it.
The other change that was made was the mixer firmware was updated... But this was about 2 months ago. It was working fine after that until last week... But I did read on other posts here that people have found USB issues (with Windows) after updating and solved it by downgrading the firmware.
Another thing I've not yet tried is the "compatibility" mode in the mixer, or enabling "interface" mode. These are both currently off. But as we're currently in the middle of a church service, I can't do those just at the moment.
If any other Linux users out there have run into issues and know any fixes/workarounds, I'd love to know.
