I recently built a desktop with a thunderbolt compatible motherboard and Asus Thunderboltex 4 interface card along with the adaptor that Apple offers to go from FW800 to TB2, and then the adaptor from TB2 to TB3 going into the USB-C. I am unsure of all else that needs to be configured to work. Youtube seems to have a million videos where it just magically works without much of an explanation. I am not even sure where to look to find this information. Thank you in advance for someone, some day seeing this post.
