I've been using KORG Legacy Collection since it came out, and have had no issues intil now. It's worked perfectly in S1 2.x and also in 3.x before v. 3.2. Latest Legacy Collection version 1.3 is installed in both 32 and 64 bit versions (I run both S1 versions for backward compatibility). I'm on Win7.

All the Legacy Collection synth plug ins work fine, except for LegacyCell - the one that allows you to mix 2 PolySix' or MS 20's. I've tried un/reinstalling it severeal times to no avail.

Legacy Cell works fine in Cubase 8.5 in both 32 and 64 bit mode, so the plugin is installed correctly.

Anyone have an idea why S1 won't acknowledge it?

Windows:

1.  Please open Studio One and go to Studio One>Options>Locations>VST Plugins and verify that you have the correct directory added to the list of folders that the program scans at startup.  You want to add the directory that you have your plug-ins installed to.  If you do not see the "VST Plug-ins" tab under the Locations tab, then you want to make sure that you have activated Studio One Professional or Producer or you have installed the VST, AU, and ReWire support add-on if you are running the "Artist" version of Studio One.  Press the "Reset Blacklist" button while you are in this window.

2.  Right-click Studio One and choose "Run as administrator" when opening the program to determine if there is a possible permissions problem.

3.  Studio One will only load 64-bit plug-ins into the 64-bit version of Studio One.  The 32-bit version of Studio One will only load 32-bit plug-ins.  If you loaded your VSTs from the c:\Program Files (x86) folder into Studio One under the "Locations" tab, this is more than likely your 32-bit plug-ins. If you need to install a different bit-version of Studio One, you can do so by downloading the desired version from your my.presonus.com account under My Products>Software>Studio One.

4.  Please click the icon of the wrench in the browser window, at the top, right-hand corner of the window, to open the plug-in manager.  Make sure that there is a white dot next to the plug-in, if it shows up in the list.

5.  If you are still having a problem, try contacting the manufacturer of the plug-in for information about updates, compatibility issues with Studio One, or possible workarounds.

Mac:

1.   Please open Studio One and go to Studio One>Preferences>Locations>VST Plugins and verify that you have the correct directory added to the list of folders that the program scans at startup.

2.  Studio One will only load 64-bit plug-ins into the 64-bit version of Studio One.  The 32-bit version of Studio One will only load 32-bit plug-ins. If you need to run Studio One in 32-bit mode, simply ctrl-click (right-click) the Studio One icon in your Applications folder and go to "Get Info."  You can then check the box to run in 32-bit mode.

3.  Please click the icon of the wrench in the browser window, at the top, right-hand corner of the window to open the plug-in manager.  Make sure that there is a white dot next to the plug-in, if it shows up in the list.

4.   If you are still having a problem, try contacting the manufacturer of the plug-in for information about updates, compatibility issues with Studio One, or possible workarounds.

Also not working in Studio One Professional 4.5.   Only Korg Legacy Cell is the issue.  The rest of the Korg Collection sound great and work fine.  The Legacy Cell does not show up in the Plugin Manager.  Have tried numerous angles to get this resolved.

Regarding Korg Legacy Cell not working in Studio One Professional 4.5 - after extensive problem solving (as in work-arounds and advice from others who have struggled with this issue generally, not specifically for Studio One) - I have been able to get Korg Legacy Cell to work correctly in Cubase Pro 10.  However, it does not work in Cakewalk (latest version as of Aug 2019) or in Studio One Pro 4.5.

The solution to get it to work in Cubase Pro 10 involved multiple steps of work-arounds.  So, generally speaking, Korg needs to update their 64-bit installer for Korg Legacy Cell for the good of its customers.  In an elliptical way, this also solves it for me personally for Studio One. At least now I have a DAW to create a Legacy Cell track on to a timeline (which can include the mix of a song I'm working on in Studio One which has been imported into Cubase).  Once I have that Legacy Cell track saved down to audio in Cubase, I can then pull it into Studio One and still take advantage of the many terrific sounds available in Legacy Cell.  Another work-around, but at least it's possible.
