Why does an event lose a chunk of its audio data when I move it to a new track?

Please help! So I have been having this issue for around a year now. It happens on every session and really is disrupting my workflow. If I have multiple tracks open in Studio One, and I move an audio event from one track to another, there is about a 75% chance that event will have a big chunk of audio missing, despite still showing waveform data.  This happens even with no effects, automation, or processing of any kind. Even on a new session with only a couple clips.  It also is more likely to happen if i drag multiple clips at the same time. If i click "edit with melodyne" on one of the glitchy clips, the audio will suddenly work like normal, but if I remove melodyne the audio disappears again. If I bounce one of the glitchy clips, the bounced event will have a corresponding big chunk of the waveform missing too.  If I move a working event to another track and the audio cuts out, it will usually work again if i click "undo" but sometimes it remains broken.  If I restart my DAW, or close and reopen the song file, all the audio will play back normally even if it was saved while it was glitching. The associated audio file of a glitching event will playback fine if i hit the play button in the "pool" while it is selected.

Any ideas? Is this a common glitch with an easy fix that I couldn't find an answer for?
