EDIT:
I figured this one out myself. One of the plugins I was running hadn't been fully activated on my computer yet. Instead of any error message popping up, the plugin just cut the audio randomly during playback. This plugin was the "Reviver" by Black Salt Audio.

So lesson learned was: remember to activate all of your plugins when buying a new pc
