I've been looking everywhere to find the answer to my question with no luck. I am a brand new owner PreSonus products, including the StudioLive 32S and StudioOne. I am interested to know about the potential relation of the PreSonus Studio Channel strip rack mount unit, to the StudioLive 32S. Are the preamps, EQ and Compressor plugins that are installed/come with the board superior enough that I would not need the rack mount channel strip, or would having that 12AX7 preamp tube make a noticeable difference in sound? I will be using Sterling Audio ST159's and CAD E100SX microphones - on a mesa combo, a hartke bass rig, for vocals, and for acoustic guitar. I know that having high dollar preamps/compressors would make a big difference but I am working with a limited budged right now, and just need to know if these studio channels will do anything for me worth while.
