Dear Studio One Development Team,

We, sound designers and producers, work with hundreds of loops and samples daily. Despite Studio One's many strengths, there are several repetitive tasks and workflow inefficiencies that significantly hinder our productivity. We believe that with a few key improvements, Studio One can truly become the ultimate tool for sound designers. Below are our proposed enhancements, which we hope you will consider implementing in future updates:

1. Enhanced Loop and Sample Management

"Save as Loop" Function: A feature to save loops with an automatically added effect tail, ensuring seamless playback without abrupt cuts.
Drag-and-Drop Flexibility: The ability to drag and drop loops or samples to any location among the tracks. This is essential when working with projects that have 90-200 tracks, as moving new loops from the bottom to the desired position is very cumbersome.

2. Improved MIDI File Handling

MIDI Saving Preferences: An option to set saving only the MIDI file by default (e.g., in settings) to avoid repeatedly choosing between saving a music file or only MIDI. This is crucial when saving 100-150 MIDI files per day.

3. Rendering Window Enhancements

Sequencer Accessibility: The ability to use the sequencer while the rendering window is open.
Post-Render Options: A checkbox for "Close after rendering" and a setting to disable the automatic opening of the folder where the file was saved.

4. File Management Efficiency

Automatic File Numbering: Automatically incrementing file names, which is very convenient when saving large numbers of files (e.g., 400+ drum parts).

5. Sample Browsing Convenience

Sample Switching with Arrow Keys: A feature allowing users to switch to the next/previous sample from the folder using the left/right arrow keys after loading a sample or loop into the project window. This is a simple yet incredibly useful function available in other DAW that can significantly streamline the workflow.

These enhancements will drastically simplify and accelerate the workflow for sound designers and producers, allowing us to focus more on creativity rather than routine tasks. We are passionate about Studio One and believe that these changes will help us use it to its full potential.

Thank you for considering our suggestions. Your commitment to enhancing Studio One is greatly appreciated, and we eagerly await these improvements that will make our work more efficient and enjoyable.

Best regards,

These are all great ideas. However, my understanding is they will be ignored because Feature Requests require one post per request.

If you post these individually, I'll certainly vote for them.
