Control over the line color/brightness and shading of the looped area for Auto Punching

When punching in, the shaded area and the lines that show the punch in section would be far more helpful if we could either adjust the shade and or the lines as they cross the wave form. Setting areas to punch in when using Auto Punch ('I').

If a punch is to be precise, zooming in helps but scrolling around and zooming in and out takes away from the creative flow, and wastes a lot of time. It just seems like it would be easier on the eyes and the efficiancy of the process if we could control the brightness and/or color of the lines. see my attached picture. It shows a select region, however that's not the Auto Punch area and the shade is almost non-existent, the lines on either side of the shade are so light that it's hard to see, at least for me and I'm sure others as well.
