I have a Denon turntable, Presonus Temblor T8 and 2 Eris 5 speakers.  I need gain control or volume control via a preamp.  What is the best device to help with that.  I am not a DJ, I just want to be able to control volume and adjust bass and treble.  At the moment I am using a Bellari VP530 tube amp.  I have my turntable going into the amp and the going into the subwoofer and then out to the left and right speakers.

So, do I have this configured properly or should I look into a receiver instead of the Bellari?  Is there something different I should be doing with the preamp or is the setup okay?

For Home Audio, the answer is completely subjective, the amount of money you can spend on the solution you are asking for can be from less than $100 to tens of thousands of dollars. Boutique home audiophile systems get pretty extensive. This is going to be limited entirely by your own budget, the solution you have found seems to be ok, but that's only my opinion. I would strongly suggest reading up in the AVS Forum for what is the best for what you are trying to accomplish.
