Is it possible to set the midi editor grid to arbitrary subdivisions, such as 9:8 11:8 etc ?

-- Sorry, to be clear, I am referring to beat subdivisons - tuplets.

Yes, you can edit the time signature on the ruler or edit the Timing on the transport bar.
