Is there any reason why note velocity in the midi editor isn't audibly responding to changes in Studio One 3.2?

I have just upgraded to Studio One version 3.2 and I am having trouble getting the note velocity stalks in the midi/instrument track editor to respond to any changes to the actual volume on the track based on what I'm hearing.  Is anyone else having trouble with this?  If there is some program setting that I can change to fix this problem, I'm all ears (which I hope are working properly).  Otherwise this program has just been rendered unusable for me.  Not being able to change note velocity in existing midi data on an instrument track event in the editor is not acceptable.  I'll stick with Cubase for now until this is fixed or someone can explain to Yours Truly what I'm doing wrong.

FYI, I am using an HP Z420 PC Workstation using an Nvidia Quadro K5000 graphics card and 24 gig ram.  My audio interface is a firewire Focusrite Saffire PRO-24, driver version 3.7.

Not sure what you're experiencing there. I assure you this basic feature is working in the latest 3.2 update! You can change the velocity in the Midi Note Editor (Piano Roll) by opening up the velocity lane editor. The stalks should also sound as you adjust them. If you do not hear that while you are adjusting you can enable the option to the left of the piano roll that allows you to hear the notes as you are editing. Even still, after you have edited your velocities, you should hear them affect the midi instrument, if the patch itself responds to various velocities. There are cases where an instrument may not change it's sound based on various midi velocities.
