Presence XT Studio Grand makes horrible noise for E2-B2 and A3-G4 key ranges

Hi,

When I load up the Studio Grand sound in Presence XT, it sounds OK for all keys except the ranges E2-B2 and A3-G4. Those 2 ranges produce distorted noise.

This happens if I just start a new blank song, add an instrument track and then drag the Studio Grand preset to the instrument track.

I've tried removing the Studio One Piano.soundset file from the Soundsets folder and downloading and reinstalling the soundset file (3 times) but it still has the same problem.

I'm using a Surface Pro 3 (8GB RAM) with a Steinberg UR44 audio interface. I tried changinf the buffer size from 128 to 256 samples.

It has the same problem if I use the inbuilt audio on the Surface Pro 3. So, I don't think it's a soundcard issue.

Here is a video so you can see what is happening and what it sounds like.

Any ideas what I can do to fix it?

Thanks,

Rich

I just tried to re-create this issue to no avail.  Please make sure that you are updated to the latest version of Studio One 3.  Also, please try going into your Documents>Studio One>Sound Sets folder and delete your Studio One Piano.soundset file.  You can then download it once more from your my.presonus.com account.  Simply double-click to install.

*If you are running the Studio Grand on a less-powerful system, please try choosing the option for "Mono" instead of "Poly."

If you continue to have an issue, please feel free to log a support ticket so that a PreSonus support agent can take a look at your system.
