I just upgraded to S1 Pro - primarily for better piano sounds. Presence XT Studio Grand is very nice but for some reason the volume of some notes drops off suddenly.  My firs thought was the number of voices had reached a limit.  I set it to 128 but it did not help. I tried it back at 64 to no avail.

Next to the setting for voices indicates 109.95 MB.  I'm not sure what that refers to.

It also is not only happening when playing several notes but when the notes are pressed individually.

It is primarily an issue around D# 4 and E4 but I've had it down lower as well.

In the editor, the velocity is about the same as notes around it but the sound is lower.

I have a WIndows 10 PC running Intel Core i5 with 22 GB of ram.  I have a Scarlett 2i4.

I'm quite new to using VSTs so I may be missing a setting.

I am set at  128 Samples on Device Block size and Processing droput rate is high (1024 samples).

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Rick

There are bugs in the velocity sensitivity of the SoundFont file that they ported over ages ago to make the Presonus Studio Grand series of pianos.

They have acknowledged that it exists and they said on the forums that sadly they do not intend to fix it since it is old and it would be difficult to fix- I think it has something to do with it being contracted to an outside company.

My recommendation would be to use another piano even though that one does sound nice.

Thanks, Robert.  Will look for something better.  So many pianos to choose from.
