Yes, that is exactly where I was trying to perform the task.
I was trying to follow the manual and it seems the instructions about how to identify the devices i.e.: Core Audio, external device are either unclear or inaccurate.
Working with a Sweetwater tech, he deleted one of my entries in such a way that the OS was handling the identity of the device and then one item was put in the Studio One 3 configuration (instead of two). I even had confirmation inside Studio One of a connection and could see midi information was being received and transmitted. Level indicators were bouncing with input.
Seems to work now, but I spent a couple days on and off trying to figure out what I was doing wrong with great frustration :P
