I have installed the demo version of Notion to see if it will do what I want, which is essentiallly to play MIDI files with a great Soundfont library.

I have no tried to open several .mid files from the web that play in other midi players, and Notion say "file cannot be opened; The data in this file could not be recognized".

So I am blocked on step one. Please advise.

Hey,
So when you go to 'file', trying using 'import' instead of 'open'. This fixed the issue for me..
