Why am I getting random audio appearing with no visible regions

I am working on a S1 2 (Ver 2.6.5.30360) project which is just one song with multiple clips of audio (clips of music) edited together for an Irish dance show. I've given each clip its own track and I've also added some voice-overs again on their own tracks. I'm using only built-in FX/dynamics. Total length of finished show is in or around 50 minutes.

Project has involved a fair bit of region editing and adding reverb to cuts to help transitions from one clip to next. I've got 2 issues:

1.Unpredictably, the Mix automation I've used for Dry/Wet mix of OpenAir which I've applied with a fade from, say 3% to nil, has dropped straight to zero at the end of a couple of regions, instead of continuing to fade after clip ends.

2.More annoying, I'm getting occasional random sections of audio appearing in other tracks, towards the end of song. But, bizzarely, there is no corresponding visible region associated with the random audio!! It is totally invisible, but if I drop the fader at that point (or use Automation to cut track fader), the audio does indeed mute.?? I've even had it happen ACROSS SONGS - ie a piece of audio has migrated from one S1 song to another!!!

As I'm doing updates, this means I have to check the whole song (50 mins) for stray audio after each update, which is a PITA.

Is this something that can be fixed?

I'm running under Win10 on a self-build (nothing fancy, i5, 8GB - CPU meter seems happy enough bobbling around 20%) and my IF is Focusrite 2i2, using ASIO Driver 2.5.1.

Many thanks

F

Try refreshing you application settings to see if doing that resolves any lingering issues.

1.  Quit Studio One

2.  Click Start and type %appdata% [Enter] to open the Roaming folder.

3.  Open PreSonus/Studio One 3

4.  Copy the contents of the folder to a folder on your desktop for use as a backup.

5.  Delete all files and folders except for the user.license file

6.  Launch Studio One 3 and test for this issue again.  If the problem still exists, please feel free to copy your settings files back over from the backup you created in step 4.

*If you are missing any Sound Sets after doing this, simply go to Documents>Studio One>Sound Sets and double-click one of the files.

You can also try clearing the \cache folder in the song folder to see if that helps with waveform drawing

If you continue to have random issues please make a support ticket.
