Hello everyone, my name is Dan. Heres my issue. I have Studio One 3 pro on my iMac and a ********* X32 as my interface. I had some popping and crackling in a vocal track recently. After testing the track I have come to the conclusion that the pops are part of the recording and in the sound waves. I use a Rode NT1-A. This has happened to me before back when I had an older iMac and used an 1818VSL as the interface and had recorded a bass track through an amps direct out. Now something strange is that there are times where i use a different mic (ex: SM58) and I will not get these popping or crackles in the recordings, BUT it may not just be the mic since as I have just written, its happened while recording a Direct Output. I have read articles and they say that its either a buffer size issue, a clock issue, and/or a master & slave issue. I have no clue on how to fix these or where to look for these issues. I will list the specs and hope someone can help.
