Question

The disable track feature in 3.3 is excellent but only applies to instrument tracks with software instruments loaded.  I use a number of hardware sound modules and my typical workflow is to play and record the note data while recording the audio from the external module onto an audio track.  

I then want to set the instrument track aside and work with audio.  In most cases I will want to create another instrument track to the same external module and repeat the process several times for different patches and phrases.  

Obviously I don't want to lose the earlier instrument tracks (which may need further editing or rework) however neither do I want them playing at the same time.

At the moment it appears the only options are to mute the instrument track before hiding it this leaves a mute indicator active which renders that purposeless since clicking on it to clear a 'lost' mute will also re-enable the unwanted instrument track.

The other option I see is to remove the target midi device from the track - meaning I have to remember to include the device when creating the name of the track - not a great hardship but again better served by allowing me to disable the track the same way as for software instruments.
