Question

I've downloaded and installed the VST/AU add-on for Studio One 3 Artist, but now I can't figure out how to actually use VSTs in the software. I tried dragging and dropping, and when I drag it to the start page or a song page it says "install extension" but when I let go nothing happens. Please help me figure this out because I spent $80 on this add-on. Also, I have checked that I downloaded the 64 bit version of the VST because I have the 64 bit version of Studio One Artist 3.

It would appear that you have not installed and activated the Add-On which must be done before you can use VSTs in Studio One.
